It’s that time of year again and before you know it Christmas will be here…then Christmas will be gone…then buyer’s remorse will sink in. According to CNBC.com, Americans racked up more than $1,000 in debt for the 2017 holiday season. What if you could go the ENTIRE holiday season without debt? I have created a list of ways to make extra money just for the busy mom.
This is always my go-to side hustle to make extra money. Online tutoring is great because you don’t have to drive anywhere, and the hours are flexible. Tutors are high in demand around the holidays since that is finals time for college students. Tutors can make between $25 to $100 an hour depending on the specialty. I charge $70 an hour for structural engineering tutoring.

With the holidays coming up, I’m sure families will need an extra hand running errands. Delivery services are a great way to make extra money for the holidays. There is a potential to earn between $10 to $25 an hour. You can deliver almost anything: groceries, meals from restaurants, packages, etc.

Holiday travel season is upon us and families will need to house their fur babies somewhere reliable. Boarding facilities book up fast but many pet owners prefer their pets to remain in a home environment. If you love animals, maybe have one or two of your own, and don’t mind taking in one or two more then pet sitting can be perfect for you!

Freelance writing, in general, is a great way to make extra money but if you have a skill for writing resumes, you can earn money fast! I wrote technical resumes for 2 years and it was easily my biggest money maker. People are always looking for jobs or just want to update their resume. You can earn anywhere between $70 to $300 per resume depending on the complexity.

Are you the person who can go to a garage sale and spot a diamond in the rough? If so, flipping items can be the side hustle for you. There is good money in flipping items if you know what you are doing. You can start with selling your own items to get the cash to purchase more items to sell. The amount you can earn will vary greatly depending on the items. Remember, purchase low and sell high!

Although this list is short, all of these side hustles can turn quick cash for the holidays on the schedule that you choose. Let’s beat holiday debt by not having any!
